The film contained a large number of "archival" still photographs that illustrated the narrative between the moving image segments and interviews. I shot most of these and then aged the images by various means in the darkroom to create prints that were then re-filmed for the movie. This was one of the most rewarding collaborative projects that I have worked on during the course of my career and marked the first time I worked on a Peter Jackson movie.
