Film Stills
Chris Coad has been working as a film stills photographer since 1995 when,he first worked with Peter Jackson on his award winning film "Forgotten Silver". Chris won a New Zealand Film and Television Award for his contribution of "Archival Restorations" that were shown in this elaborate hoax movie.
Since then he has worked on many New Zealand and international film productions including the Lord of the Rings trilogy and more recently Gaylene Prestons award winning feature "Home by Christmas". For a full filmography CLICK HERE
As well as capturing the essence of a film’s narrative & mood, his brief often means shooting set-ups for posters & character portraits for publicity material as well as providing a photographic document of the shoot itself – so-called ‘behind-the scenes’ images.
