Since 1991, Chris Coad has established himself as a commercial photographer specializing in Corporate, Advertising, and Editorial photography. Based in Wellington, New Zealand, he brings a distinct expertise to automotive CGI backgrounds, a niche that sets his work apart.
Chris has contributed to numerous prominent New Zealand feature films and earned several professional photography awards throughout his career. Notably, he received a New Zealand Film and Television award for his work on Peter Jackson’s film Forgotten Silver.
Between 2000 and 2001, Chris was involved in shooting stills for the Lord of the Rings film trilogy, a testament to his skill and reputation within the industry.
In April 2006, he was honored as the Cathay Pacific Travel Photographer of the Year for an editorial project featuring the cities of Paris and London.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Applied Art in Photography and is proficient in post-production tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and is a specialist user of PanoTools Graphic User Interface (PTGui), cementing his technical expertise alongside his creative vision.
