C type archival art print. From 30cm longest edge. Open edition, unframed. This building was opened in 1907. It was built as an assembly hall, with an auditorium, stage, and dressing rooms. In 1920, the Parish of St Francis de Sales (Island Bay), bought it. Until 1931, it was leased out for a variety of purposes, including a skating rink, picture theatre, parish school concerts, and Salvation Army services.
